working in a new custom mandalorian kit! I am using six mm eva foam, also using contact cement, hot glue, and mold able foam clay as filler. (i’m only a teenager, spackling is too hard for me). I am basing it on Axe wolves’s suit, and tips, advice and criticism would be appreciated. Thank you! I will be posting the templates i made myself for this armor soon. :)

Working on the chest and gauntlets. I finished the knees, shoulders, thighs, and the jet pack. I am using 6mm eva foam, with parts like the ear pieces/rangefinder and the rocket cones fo the jet pack being 3d printed. I used cardboard for the vambrace with the knife. Advice and criticism is appreciated. Free templates coming soon!

The black stuff is moldable foam clay, and I used it as a filler and to smooth some fuzzy foam edges out.

One suggestion - if you already have a flight suit, be sure to size the armor on top of that. Many times, people will build their armor, then get their flight suit, and see that their armor is too small.

Oh! Good idea. I want this kit to be a budget suit, (even though it looks pretty legit) so I will be using just some worn gray pants and and a long sleeve and short sleeve shirt. Thanks for the suggestion. The shirt is pretty thin, and I think it will work. I wonder if my black plasti dip will pass off as Axe Wolves’s charcoal black armor.

Thank you so much RamSkrata and Rkicker for the kind comments! I haven’t posted in a while, so here are some pics on my almost finished kit for San Diego Comic Con! I’m a bit early (lol) because i got a little to excited lol. I used blue spray paint, for the knees and gauntlets, but black plastidip made the black pieces of armor look just fine. I like the look of mandalorian kamas, so i incorporated that into my suit too with a holster for a single westar 35 blaster made out of cardboard. For the helmet, i used a welding visor and clay foam. I am so close to finishing! For the right shoulder bell, you can see the austin texas longhorns university mascot (a longhorn) because i was born in Austin texas. Hook’ em! (I wanted it to make my kit more personalized hehe) Also I used a texas Longhorns jacket for the underpart of the flight suit lol. For the complicated parts for the helmet earcaps, i just 3d printed it so the rangefinder could have max movement. Thank you so much again for the kind comments Ramskrata and Rkicker.! Here are some pics for my almost finished mandalorian custom suit!
