Collar advice

Hey everyone! Long time listener first time caller.

So I’m diving into my first ROTJ Fett build, I have trimmed and sanded my armour and I’m wondering what to do with the collar and back attachment part, there is a lip on the collar and I’m pretty sure it needs to be trimmed, I’m just wondering how much, and pics of the way you built yours would be rad!
