I used the acrylic and because it was a bit on the dull side I added some maroon to brighten it up just a wee bit. Perhaps I'll try the enamel on the next helmet.
Note that once I started mixing I tested plenty of times to make sure it matched up with my reference photos. Took a few tests and I finally got there.
I originally started using it on my first helmet, and I found it was way too dull and flat. I pretty much had perfect results when I used enamel straight out of the bottle. I'm not sure if anyone has better luck with acrylic without mixing anything in?

Yeah I think RS mentioned to me one time that the Enamel Box Car is what was used on the MR Master Helmet he painted....Which came out AWESOME...like you said, no mixing, straight from the bottle.
