Boussh build- Mullreel

Nessie Mullreel

New Hunter
I am a young Star Wars fan, and I am just getting into costuming. I have previously made my own Mandalorian armor. But I would like to tackle a Boushh build. And I would love to hear any ones thoughts and advice as I try to get started with my build. And first on my list is to get a helmet kit. Does anyone have any advice on where to get a helmet kit?

Hi and welcome . I believe Irongladiator has a a build for his daughter. He got a helmet from Sandman, which he could probably help you contact. His build is remarkable in every way. Reading through should prove most helpful. Best of luck on your build and post lots of pics we love em!

Welcome Nessie Mullreel
Indeed I have put together a Boushh costume for my daughter who is 12 years old. Here is the outcome of her costume...

Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the advice! I will definitely be posting pics and updates, because I could use the advice of my more seasoned friends on here.

Hello! The funny thing is I watched your build since you started the thread. And you are where I got most of my cost estimations and build planning. And I have been able to buy some of the soft parts of the build when some things were on sale. Thank you so much for your warm welcome and the help you have given me already!

Hello! As I have done research into this costume, and I am looking into where and who to buy a helmet kit from. And where to find the right kind of leather or any tips about using real leather for the helmet. I am willing to pay for a good helmet kit, I honestly just want to assemble it myself instead of buying the finished product. I have found some Etsy stores with helmet kits.

I would love to hear everyone's thoughts on helmet kits and how I should proceed. Thank y'all so Much!

Hi Nessie!
I know you've seen my WIP, but I gotta say really do enjoy what Sandman has to offer!
Sandman Helmet - All Pics.jpg
But it seems that RS Prop Masters will also have an offering coming soon too...

Boushh Build from Facebook offers a great leather kit, it is all pre-cut specifically for the Sandman helmet and takes all the guess work out of installation. There will be some slight trimming, but I felt like it wasn't that bad to install it! And I can say a couple years later it has held up really great!

Here is a few pics of my leather work during....

And the adhesive(s) used were....

And a "Spudger Tool" really helps the install process too....

Hope this helps!
