BoBF Soft Parts Run

Arkady ...
Unfortunately, Im not in the market for a Bob suit (the "new Boba" is just "Bob" to me :D ).
But I want to follow this thread in the hope that pictures of your work will be posted here. You have quite the reputation!

I don't usually do these but I think I'm going to do a run of the suit and vest for now. I have about two months of work on the books and then I'll do a run of five suits and vests. I might add in the skirt and cowl later. So turnaround 3-5 months ish. That gives me time to nail down all the details but I think I've got a good grasp on what I'm doing. This one doesn't scare me like Din Djarin did, LOL. Anyway so PM me for order info and I'll start a list. :)

WusteHase and Daunt, info sent!
Here is a picture of the fabrics I'm planning on using. Also I will be attaching a ribbed cuff to the long sleeve, hat tip to Jay for that. The fabric on the left is for the suit, the right is for the vest.

And that's it! The run is full. I may open these up to an ongoing thing, like ESB or ROTJ. This is an evolving project, it now looks the short sleeves that are normally on the suit are actually on the vest. And it definitely looks to be a two piece suit.

Hi guys,

I have absolutely no reputation, but I have spent the last week sourcing images and discussing about every stitch, mainly for the vest and pants, of the new "Bob", with a talented tailor from Rajasthan India. That being said, the prices are very reasonable and I will get 5 done, of which 2 are already reserved. I will post pictures of the samples soon. Might open my own thread for that.

So long, let's be lucky.

EDIT: I'm undecided about the fabric for the vest yet:
"... according to us this fabric is drill cotton (thickest cotton)..."
Is what the tailor thinks, I could also imagine doing it with a fleece fabric, what do you think ? Have you looked at the disney licensed "Bob" that recently came out as a fortnite skin ?

I doubt fleece is the right material. It's not nearly durable enough, IMHO. Also, take using the Boba model with a grain of salt. The belt's not completely accurate.

Please describe in detail, where the belt is not original Book of Boba Fett,

Thank you.
The main difference I can see is the "shells" on the belt are not a uniform size/shape. Again, you only supplied one image, so I'm basing my observation on that. There's a thread about the pistol belt on the BOBF section with a few different reference images, so you can use those as a guide if you so choose.

Cheers!

Hello everyone,

I have some updates and thoughts/questions regarding the soft parts.

First, the short sleeves appear to actually attached to the vest as seen in the first photo and ALSO attached to the suit in the second photo. I am open to attaching the short sleeve either way, I just need to know what you prefer.

So early photos of the full costume made it seem that the there was a zipper going up and the suit was a one piece.

However once we saw Boba getting dressed in Ep1 we see there is no full zipper and it is actually a shirt and pants, and the placket is just for decoration(?)

I am happy to make the soft parts as either a one piece or two piece set. The one piece would be more like my regular flight suits. Either version will have the zipper placket, it will just be functional, rather than decorative for the one piece option.
I would love to hear thoughts and ideas about this. Thanks!
