BOBF: Costume CRL?

Does anyone know where to find a CRL/guide for the BOBF Boba costume?
Mandalorian Mercs don't appear to have one because he's not a bounty hunter
any longer, and the 501st doesn't appear to have one in the "DZ" section.

Do we need to create our own?

Heh, you clearly have no idea how slow 501st is. Fennec Shand mando s2 just of late got a draft crl. Boba mando s2 still has no crl

Yeah, I was kind of surprised there was no Season 2 Mando Boba "Fresh" guide. Interesting.
I wonder what the hold up is? People don't have time? They discuss in a committee?
They want to do a "one and done" with no revisions?

I can see the appeal of that last one, because if people go all-in and the rules change, that's money wasted.

Admittedly I was out for a few years and just jumped back in last summer, so I might not be the best conduit of information. But here’s what was sent out today to current “BH” members;

If you've got questions for the 501st's Bounty Hunter Guild on costume approval and CRL creation, the best option would be to take those question directly to them at their site:

I will tell you from my 501st experience that only 7 weeks is not very long at all for the 501st to decide acceptance of a character and then then begin the CRL process. You are dealing with a World Wide Organization, with 14,335 members. Any choice is going to potentially affect all those people, all over the world, so, choices are often made with an over abundance of caution. So, any decision on what costumes are acceptable and eligible will take some time for the Membership and Detachment teams to discuss, debate, and come to a consensus. Then people need to research the costume, break it down, figure out the various components, colors, and materials. That all has to be written up into a standardized format that is easily translatable and understandable. Then somebody has to actually build the costume and take pictures to document the various components. Then those images need to be isolated, edited, and formatted. Then the CRL is finalized.

I was actually joking about the 7 week thing. I didn't expect a comprehensive guide, but I thought there might be a temp document or something.


I checked out the BHG last week, but I thought "BOBF Boba" wasn't there because he wasn't a Bounty Hunter any longer and it was classified as ineligible. Or maybe I'm thinking of another site. It all gets muddled after a while. I'll check again with that site.

The 501st's Bounty Hunter Guild detachment has become a sort of "Catch All" for any 501st costumes that are Mandalorian based. See Death Watch and Bo Katan. They never acted as Bounty Hunters, but since they are visually similar to Boba, the LMO office gave them to the BHG because they figured they had the most experience working with those style of costumes and could be of the most help to potential members. It's just one of the many Form vs Function debates they go on continuously about where specific costumes should be shunted off to.

Mercs will have a BOBF Boba CRL. It typically isnt completed till after the show is complete. 501st works just the same way.

As far as I know the Mercs are working on a CLR. When will they release it, I don't know. I'm currently looking around to find items that look as close to the show as possible. Creating a list and hoping everything will be good for approval.
