Boba Fett armor HELP!!

I was wondering if any one had any pictures of how they attached there back plates to the neck armor ?

That neck piece itself is metal but my back plate is fiberglass i wanted to see some pictures of fellow fetts and how they attached there armor together.

If they overlap use Industrial strength velcro. But even if they dont the velcro can still hold them together.

If you use screws for the shoulder studs just make it as short as possible so the 2 halves of the velcro still meet.

any pics? it just seems that when i put them together its like they just dont match up

The collar and the back plate is hold together with screws: the screw is inserted from the inside of the back plate through the collar then holded together with the shoulder studs (the same method is used with the cod piece and the back belt).

This technique though accurate will be very difficult when suiting up for a troop..

There is another method used with the stunt armor, it's some kind of a hook but I don't know how is connected to the collar plate.

If you are not looking for totally screen accurate in terms of attachment method, but only in the finished look, this is the easiest way to do it (and what I did for my ESB Fett this time around):

Attach the collar studs only to the collar -- going ahead and attaching the cape and leaving it on the collar armor all the time -- and then mount to the backplate with Velcro. Looks exactly the same, but means I no longer need assistance screwing in the studs every time I suit up.

I use the accurate "bolt myself in" method. Spending a few extra minutes getting suited up doesn't seem like a big deal.

Thanks that pic is a big help.... i was also wondering about the placement of knee armor...is it righ above the knee, on the knee, or below the knee ?

That wasn't the annoying part. It was having one of the chicago screws strip while suiting up and having to dig around for replacement and put it in, etc....

The knee pad should stay on the knee starting from the upper part of the patella. See the image below of the Pre-Pro #3.

I'm actually on this part of my build right now and am I missing something but isn't the cape supposed to be on that outer stud?

i have aluminum shoulder studs with a threaded hole on the bottom. i drilled matching holes in the neck and back plate and run a screw up through them that the stud screws on to.

I noticed that, too. Great idea! Keeps the individual bolts from spinning when you are trying to thread the studs on. Mine always eventually came loose.
