New Hunter
Hi! I’m so new here and impressed with how much you all know and the amazing things you’ve created! I’m not even sure if this is the place to ask this but I am looking for a ready to buy Boba Fett for my son who is a graduating film major and does film editing. He and I are huge Star Wars fans and his favorite character is Boba Fett. I’m not sure where to find an inclusive list of ready to sell full Boba Fetts on here and if there are none available now, how I choose from the few that are available out there like on eBay. I know there are a few super overpriced sideshow ones available but only about 4 that I’ve seen on eBay and I have no idea how to tell which are good, what to look for, what to stay away from, etc. Is it more desirable to have one that you can wear or only display? I’ve seen comments that it’s a hassle to take it apart to wear and put back so maybe display is the priority? How important is the mannequin or form beneath the costume? Pretty important I’d think. And I’d think you’d want one that had been modified to be in a cool position especially the arms? Would anyone be willing to give me some advice on the ones that are readily available out there or is that not appropriate for this forum? Sorry! Just a mom looking for an over the top graduation present that my son will love! Btw he is huge on detail and accuracy and knows his Star Wars! Thank you so much for any advice!

Aside from checking out the Cargo Hold here to see if anyone is selling their personal suit there isn't really a one stop shop for a complete kit ready to go. Plenty of us sell parts, or most of the parts, and take commissions but they generally aren't ready to ship. All made to order.

I offer armor, gauntlets, and shin tools as well as painting services for all those plus helmets and jetpacks. I can do any of the versions. My wait list isn't too terribly long right now either. Check out my work here: Cosplay and Prop Portfolio

Soft parts I'd recommend Arkady, Clothears, or Jedi's Closet.
Delta13Mike is always a solid choice for the ammo belt.
BobaMaker has a great side arm and holster if you go ESB.
Can't go wrong with Man of War boots if he has any left.

Rule #1: stay away from eBay.

Here is a ROTJ SE complete suit available for sale here on TDH.

The other thing to consider too is 'Time Frame'. As many of us know here on The Dented Helmet, is that acquiring a complete Boba Fett costume can be lengthy if trying to acquire from various vendors. That said, I hope you're not trying to have something ready at time of graduation (June time frame), cause you may be waiting a bit longer - just putting that out there. Now, Neo Fett may be an exception, and I know is an outstanding vendor and well respected within the Fett Community! I have Neo Fett's Servo Kit that I installed into the helmet so that I could remotely control the range finder and absolutely love it!

Additionally, I know Neo Fett offers the armor and gauntlets as well as painting services - all of which are amazing! But if your looking for that fast turn around time, then as previously mentioned checking the Cargo Hold is probably the best start. But you may wanna also see which version of Fett you're looking for too. Cause there are a few different variants such as the more popular ones from....

...and this is just three versions - yep, there are more versions of Fett out there.

Best of luck to you on this venture. As many would say "Welcome to the Hunt"! And please let us know if you require additional help or guidance - there are plenty of us willing to help with the knowledge and experience we've acquired.
(y)

Cheers,
-Iron
