Accuracy of Galactic Armory Fett files?

Hi,
I'm looking to print a "comfy Boba" or repainted Boba, and I found these files from Galactic Armory. I'm not super keen on all the nuances of detail and differences so I was wondering if someone had already seen these files and examined them for accuracy? I'm also looking at the free RafalFett files but I like these since they include gauntlets and damage on the breastplate.

For the helmet I think I'm actually going to go with this one. The pieces seem very nice and at a glance it looks accurate to me, but wondering if someone could advise on that as well.

I'm not necessarily looking to troop but I would like to try and be as accurate as possible. Thank you!

hey there. just joined this page. im printing these right now. seem great so far for the money. the helmet seems spot on. im sure its not CRL level, but good enough for part-time cospaly - for me anyway. ive read the forearms arent all that accurate from some other posts, but honestly aside from having to scale them down some to fit my frame they dont seem that far off. Only complaint i have so far is that the 100% sizing of the backplate and the jetpack dont line up. not sure if it was an issue with my print settings or the stl files but the hooks on the jetpack didnt line up with the holes on the backplate right out the gate. i am modifying mine as we speak to correct. so sizing is an issue and reprinting has been a thing.

hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply The FreshMaker ! I actually forgot to update but I did end up buying the files as they were on sale. I was a little disappointed that nothing was oriented for printing and that I had to slice the backplate up into 4 pieces, especially seeing as Aaron (I think that's his name?) sliced his into 4 pieces for printing. I didn't do the helmet but I did use the front and back armor and kneepads. The kneepads I have an issue with because the darts aren't split off so you have to choose between printing with nice darts but having to do more work on the kneepads, or print the darts with supports and have nice knees. I'll probably remodel those myself.

You're right about the accuracy of the vambraces/gauntlets. I started taking a look at the files and like the others they're not sliced up for printing at all so I was looking at breaking them apart to get a nicer print that's easier to finish. That was going to prove impossible so I remodeled them myself, and in the process found that they are essentially accurate enough for casual cosplay but have many inaccuracies if you start to really compare them to the screen used ones. I'm not saying mine are perfect but I think they're a lot closer. I detail some of this in my build thread and there are also links to the ones I modeled there.

I also have a problem with how the backplate fits, it seems like it's too curved in the shoulders so it sits a little too far forward and ends up pushing the collar down a bit far. Haven't printed the jetpack yet so can't comment on that.

So yeah my thoughts are that the files are nicely sculpted but definitely not for those that care about being screen accurate.

Yep. Agreed on all your points above as well. As for print orientation I guess I’m a lazy printer and just print however knowing I’m going to come back later with filler to hide the seams. Same thing for the knees. I’ve even dremeled the pointy corners of the knees and rounded over the edges to be closer to screen. I’ve done quite a bit of after print maintenance on all the parts to make them more to my liking for sure.
