ive done a few now with JBWeld on the seams. works great. i dropped one helmet once and it cracked one of the cheeks off, but all the seams were perfectly fine. just used JBWeld to put the cheek back on and voila. i did just use fiberglass for the first time on my latest BoBF helmet anf then...

Nice! looks good. couple questions - did you use black on the upper cheeks or some other color? and did you paint the left ear same color as helm base or slightly different?

Did another round of paint testing just now. This time the green. All Montana paint. Storm, Smaragd and Jungle. In that order. The photos are a little brighter than in person for all 3. I think it solidifies my choice as storm for base armor and dome with jungle as the back panel for the helm.

coming along nicely. love the resin printed missile. not looking forward to post processing my FDM one. :( are you planning on using a matte clear coat on the glossy paint or leave as-is?

Did another color test. The poor print I used was throwing me off so I smoothed it more and repainted. Rust, royal, cardinal fresh. Then light black wash, the heavy black wash. The bottom of both black wash is still fresh for comparison. The more I look the more I lean towards royal.

Been reading through a lot of posts about color. Montana gold Storm green looks good. Montana Smaragd green looks good too. I also bought Montana Jungle just for S&G’s. Plan on doing some testing and trial soon. I think the Kelly will be good for the back panel of the helmet perhaps.

i was having a real issue with my right shoulder feeling loose on haloween. ive just got velcro right now. what kind of system did use? didnt see it in your earlier posts, might have just missed it perhaps.

i might be jumping ahead, but do you have paints picked yet for bracers and shoulders? been dabbling with diff ones trying to find the ones i like best. curious on everyone else's decisions on that topic too. looks like you went with montana storm for the green - ive got that one too - mellow...
