I am just going to necropost on here for someone that was needing to start this.
Also as far as how the straps all went, there was really no walk through that I made for that since I just used dimensions of straps provided by other members and bought the hardware mentioned above to attach it...
Just wanted to say happy tday to everyone. I hope its filled with family, good food, and lots of cold beers for anyone with a family as crazy as mine:)
Cheers
we did a bunch of these last year, they were easy to do and really cool too. Plus you can cut em out and spray em in with the window flocking stuff and its pretty neat.
P90x is fun but brutal too. I have rounded my routine down to a pretty healthy diet, a 20 minute jog nightly and twice a week I will hit the gym for some weights. but I am a smoker still trying to quit so I dont get to push myself as much as I would like. I just dont have the lung capacity.
So I am new to the site here. but not completely new to prop building. I bought a full Jango setup from a member here. Some of it was not really what I was looking for (not as accurate as I was led to believe). So I set out this week to build a, from scratch, Holster set. Now there may very well...
I too use a carbide bit. though sometimes that too will grab and send it off into something you dont want cut. There are files for the dremal that work much slower but much more accurately. And as Mentioned you will want to finish off with a jewelers file and sandpaper.
As for trimming out...
Thanks, yeah I had considered that. But PVC is too thick. I considered some SCH 40 pipe as the wall thickness is thinner. But then I would still have a glued joint that holds a decent amount of pressure from the holsters. I suppose the leather from the holster could be attached to the backing...
I would say it would be a considerable mod to make, and you would need a different stalk all together. All of the helmets with the moveable stalk have a cap that goes over the moving parts. On these it is enclosed, as in a 1 piece unit.
Yeah, wow. I dont know if i'm glad I found them or disappointed that I now know how inaccurate all the little parts of mine are haha. Well its a good tool to have and I was able to finish my holsters last night because of them. pics coming soon.

I cant seem to find info on...
Dohhh, I had no idea those were there. I really haven't been able to spend the time ive needed navigating around the site and seeing what all is here. Thank you for your help. Lots of good stuff in there and it more then answers most of my questions.
Hey guys, I am looking for some good reference pictures for a Jango gun holster. I am working one up from scratch and I want to be sure I get it right. It seems that most of them I have seen here vary a little from one to another.
I had my first real taste of wearing out a hard earned and well built costume last year with my ghostbusters get up. I built almost all of it from scratch and one of the guys on gbfans was selling an accurate 75% scale pack kit that I built for the gf.
It was all so worth it when I walked in...
