I purchased the padded insert from Fenix Props on Ebay. It gives a nice finished look to the helmet. I placed some extra foam on the rangefinder side so it does not tilt on the stand or if you want to wear/ display. The insert itself is nice. But needs to be glued or velcroed in. I've had it...

I'm actually running into the same issue. I'm going to try sanding down the inside of the barrel to allow the MPP to slide in easier.

Agreed with the previous posters about scuffing up the aluminum and blackening with thin layers!

I used thus stuff... Birchwood Casey Aluminum Black Metal Finish Touch-Up 3 I used a whole 3 oz container and have a spare for future touch ups. Costs about $8 for the 3 oz. There lots of YouTube videos explaining how to go about it.

I received mine yesterday! I blued it (blackened since aluminum doesn't blue) stained the stock and assembled it already! Awesome prop! Thanks Fieldmarshall!
