So I have released Beta-1 of these files. See the first post for a link. What you see in the posts up-to-now is the state they are at. Here is what is still missing from this version of these gauntlets: - The side bits on each of the gauntlets (flame thrower things, etc). - Hinges or clasps...

I have not yet done any custom parts for either ESB or rotj. But I did paint them up as is, I will post some pictures. That is a really interesting idea. I may not do it myself, but I will be making these open source, so people can create variation like that. Sent from my Nexus 6

Yah, the pieces are far from perfect. Even the best printers generate lines in the pieces. And there is always some shrinkage or warping, so the pieces don't line up perfectly. But if you are willing to put in the work, you can end up with something quite nice, without spending a ton on cast...

I decided to go ahead and print out the full left Gauntlet. The top shifted a bit, but not to bad. I think I can clean it up with some bondo putty. Sanding and painting, that is what is next. And I am almost done with the right

Made up all the cover strips, and sewed in the thread. I got better as I went along. The first few were a little rough. Glued on one. I used some brown shoe polish on the edges of the vinyl to make it look more like leather. I like how it turned out. Fairly happy with it. Now to make them...

I have a rigidbot. (I have access to two, but one is my Brother-in-laws.) Each big piece took between 6 and 13 hours. The little stuff could take an hour, or a few. Took like 3 weeks to print everything in those two boxes.

This is RafalFetts Jet Pack. (I have been printing a lot of his stuff). I decided to drill some holes in the parts to provide someplace for the glue to go to help hold it all together. Slowly, but surely, it started to come together. Getting parts to line up was a tricky combination...
