Sideshow Life-Size Fett

I don't mind the assistant tho she can stand in my living room anytime...maybe she is there to distract potential punters until they have put down their deposits ... u know Jedi mind stuff !!!!

Like I said not the same painter. They outsourced to China or whatever overseas.

I mean the painters didn't replicate the prototype paint job at all but I think most of that would have been overlooked by most people if and only if the colors stayed the same. If that makes sense at all.

Thing is they were given it all on a silver platter step by step instructions. By the prototype painter alex...so it's amazing that they fudged it

are the knees supposed to be upside-down like that?

In the carbon freeze chamber scenes they are. LOL ImageUploadedByTapatalk1419403704.908198.jpg

Could be the lighting but looks like armor colors have changed and even the flight suit has turned from a bluish gray to more of a rotj gray...

you're right the lighting isn't helping, but I'd be surprised if it made that much a dramatic a difference?
The legs look almost as ridiculous as the skinny arms.

Oh man. It also looks like they used that non accurate Lucasfilm approved chest logo that goes on all the merchandise. I guess we'll have to wait for better pics to see all the details.

I was totally ready to pull the trigger on this piece if it turned out looking like the prototype, but in the back of my mind I always had a feeling Sideshow would screw it up. If you look at their track record lately pretty much everything they make that looks good in prototype form ends up being a fail on the finished production piece. It's such a shame because I know several RPF/TDH members put a lot of effort into this statue to make it as screen accurate as possible and Sideshow then farms out production to a company in China that could care less about how it turns out. I don't know how much longer they can stay in business doing things this way, but I can guarantee they're not getting any money from me if they keep putting out crap!

Now my main focus will turn to finding a fellow member to build a screen accurate Fett statue for me. I asked about the possibility of this back in May and was told that there are a few members(Fett 4 Real, Ponte, Darth Vorhees and Bobamaker) who do commissions so I'm hoping to explore this idea further in the coming weeks. If anyone is interested in discussing this type of work please PM me and I'll try to respond as soon as possible. Thanks. :)

...

After viewing those pictures, I am suddenly experiencing an overwhelming feeling of depression washing over me.

It is quite sad that something with the potential to be so good was royally screwed up by Sideshow's inability to deliver a quality finished product. :(

Couple questions...

First, has anyone heard Alex Alva's reaction to the final production model?

Second, anyone else end up preordering this and find themselves questioning their purchase? I think I may cancel it after seeing these pictures. I'll keep my trash can armor Boba, thank you.

Ok, scratch number one... Looking back, I saw that Alex/SpideyFett was banned? What happened???
