Fettpride Shipments?

Chris said to me that if i paid an extra, i would get my stuff in three months, which i did. So YES i did expect to get it in three months.

If he would have told me that it would take many years to send me my stuff, i would certainely NOT have done any business with him, like a lot of us. The problem is that he perfectly knows how to take money from people, making promises and sending friendly emails so he can get you to trust him.

And one more question, if he knows how much time he takes to fulfill orders, why doesn't he ask half of the money first, then half when he's ready to ship ? No no no... He wants all the money he can get FIRST, then he just doesn't give a ***** anymore.

So yes i am sure he promised to a lot of us that the parts would be done in three months (for those who paid the extra), or in about a year for those who didn't. That's where the problem is, lack of honesty in order to get more customers than he would if he was honest : call it what you want.

I generally like to stay out of these things. Not my way to get involved in things that don't concern me. But I don't get on the boards nearly as much as i'd like these days. And when I do, and read through threads such as this, or the thread about Rick, it's sad and all a bit of a mess.

This isn't just directed at Chris. The only real dealings I had with him, he seemed like a good guy. And some of the turns the guys lives have taken have been crappy, and I wish them all the best in that regard.

But the people with serious delay issues also seem legit, and may have their own life stressors happening. I understand that some will want to defend their friends position, but when people are spending a considerable amount of money, and have had wait times in the years with nothing to show, any human would be frustrated and quite frankly, a little pissed.

I've been in the very fortunate position of several people liking my work enough to enquire about commissions. Unfortunately these days, running my own business has me having to invest a considerable amount of time with my athletes, leaving very little time for my Fett-activities. So instead of taking these commissions on, and not being able to deliver a realistic time frame, or a job that may compromise quality, I would rather be up front and not take the job on. In my opinion, a simple idea that some of the vendors in question may have been better taking.

All I can hope for is that things turn for the positive for everyone involved. Fingers and toes crossed for all, as this is an amazing community to be a part of.

Much love gang, JV (y)

I, like others commenting here, have a paid in full order in to Chris. I got somewhat of a "package deal", and will be receiving the Helmet, Gauntlets, Full Armor and Jetpack. When will I receive them...? Not too sure, but I can say that every time, EVERY single time that I have reached out to Chris via email, he has responded, and been nothing but polite. Most recently, he asked if he needed to forward his mother's medical records/ bills to prove the situation he is in. I let him know that I did not need to see that as proof, and told him that I find it terrible that some people demand to see something so personal.

I understand that there are several people that have waited an extended amount of time for their gear, but is there a reason to not be cordial? People should sit back, and look at what they're saying before they say it. This is real life, and we are hobbyists (that's a word, right?). Sometimes, people need to put real life ahead of their hobby. Sometimes it's a consumer, and sometimes it's an artist or supplier. The difference being that if something happens to me; no biggie, but if it happens to a supplier; different story. Once we all step back and think about that; wait times might end up being trivial...

Just a thought.

Nothing wrong with some positivity, but one fact that needs to be pointed out is that this was not a hobby for the supplier. It was his business. Just to keep things in perspective.

Is it possible to get a list together to show orders yet received in one post, and be able to update as orders come in? This would be a more positive use of this thread, and I believe it aligns more to the OP's idea. Thoughts?

You know, you guys really just don't get what's happening here. Friend or not it doesn't make any difference. I see what's happening here and no one else seems to. Or very few others at least. This guy is trying to fill orders and fulfill his obligations without cutting corners in quality and craftsmanship. He's taken longer than anyone else to make things all these years for good reason. It's what built his rep. His items are always the best of the best. The cleanest. Straightest, almost as if professionally manufactured in a factory somewhere when others', need many days/weeks of cleanup and finesse to even begin to compare. In spite of everything that's happened to him, he's standing his ground and not caving into to sacrificing quality. He could just as easily blow through what he has left in a few weeks flat if he just threw a bunch of low grade garbage in a box. But he refuses to do that. No matter the ass whipping he's getting, he still refuses. But I'll tell you what people, if that's what you want, you may just get that if you keep acting this way. You guys don't seem to understand that the more pressure you put on a vendor in trouble, the more likely you break him and he either gives you a lump of coal for Christmas, or jumps off a cliff. Either way, WE ALL lose. It's almost like an analogy he used not too long ago about people berating their waitress and never wonder if she spat in their food , or worse.

While I agree things should be kept civil, I also believe that most have merely stated the truth with their transactions with Chris. This thread was not started to dogpile him, but to get an idea on if orders are shipping. What better way to do that than to get a list of names with order dates/items and be able to update it when cool **** happens, like a fulfillment, other than some nameless individual somewhere had they're items ship to some other person here popping up from time to time.
That would definitely add some order to this situation. Like it or not. So if anyone wants to pm me with their TDH name and date/item ordered, I'd gladly organize them and update if they keep us posted when they get the item(s).

There is always eBay hawk. And since you don't have an order with him dude, your word doesn't really matter. :) And yes I have a full order with him.

And here we go again with the most famous sentence used by Chris, or in other terms "***** the ***** up or i will make things worse for you". I will never accept to be treated that way, as a customer who has spent over a thousand dollars.

There should be a thread where we state what we ordered, when, cost, level of comms and the list with details added to the first post. Members who receive should then be crossed out. Lets get an objective picture and it might help with people's anxiety. Keep it figures based and keep this thread for the emotion
