Boba Fett life-size bust

In today's economy, at that price point, the pinch alone kills the sale for me. No go. I will tell you guys this, if my dad stumbles on that, he would buy and dig that thing. It would be like on the mantle. So, to each his own.

Yeah, I received the Pre-Order email this morning, so I had to of course go and check out all the final portfolio pics to see if anything had changed from the sneak preview photo, of course, nothing had! Well, before I even started looking at the photos I see that special $800 price tag! :eek: I'm like are you kidding me? I will say that it's cool that the head swivels and range finder is movable, but the rest is complete ****! Pinched Visor! No portion of a Jet Pack detail! They didn't get the "Cat Scratch" even close and it is one the most memorable weathering details of the ESB / SE helmet and they couldn't even manage to get the cape coming off the correct shoulder stud! IT"S FRIGGIN' HILARIOUS! :lol:

complete bust, kinda sad actually, if it was correctly proportioned and there was no friggin pinch I would have considered buying it after market cheaper and repainting it but with all these major problems it would be too much work to fix.
 
The tapering of the visor makes it look almost like theyve recast an MR helmet - at least for the proto.

I'm no Boba expert but IMO the MR paint job looked more accurate.

Wow - $800 is a lot of cash in these times.

Yeah... I was afraid it was going to be that much :( It's not terrible... definitely something worth getting, maybe at half the cost... The real deal could be made at that price. Still... I could consider it one of the higher end collectibles and even if it is not THAT accurate, it still resembles him pretty well... aside all the imperfections haha... to the common person who may not know any better (or care any better) and has a bottomless wallet, this is for them!

I have to say, after seeing the bigger pics it looks a little better. Emphasis on the little.

I can't tell if the bucket is too small or the chestplates are too big. Still think they shoulda had a hunk of the jetpack peaking up in the back like the GG classsics bust or the Legends in 3- D bust. Would have made the elevated pricetag more bearable, and I do hope plastic is inserted into the visor area, even if you can't see through it.

Do the chest lights at least light up?
 
Wow - Guys and gals, no joke, I could do this thing and have it movie accurate for like, 450.00 tops and that would include domestic shipping... 800 bucks is ridiculous.... Real visor, hell I'd even make it wearable and lit if need be... SS is really going nutts with their pricing.

Where do I begin... first off, UGH!!(n)

If this is going to be presented as an "ESB Bust", the colors need to be correct.
We all know that the ESB shoulder armor are two different color yellows...don't even get me started about the Armor color. in addtion, Why are they using the ROTJ bantha Logo??? :(

This piece would be descent if they didn't use the MR production helmet #1, and was painted correctly. Otherwise as a base piece it's probably going to make some of us pretty happy to repaint.

What Sideshow should do is seriously get someone who knows what they are doing to repaint this thing... I have thrown my name out there. It's now up to them. ;)
