Vest ROTJ Flak Vest colour

Hi guys

This question has probably been answered before but after searching the boards I can't seem to find a definitive answer.

On the 501st CRL page it says that the vest must be light grey in colour and weathered yet in the picture it shows an off colour white/cream. There are also makers out there that make them in the cream colour.
I have a friend that went to the costume show at the O2 and he said it's more a dirty cream rather than grey.

Any help would be amazing from you guys as I'm really confused!

I believe the correct color is a very light grey shiny side of the tackle twill material...if you get a vest from batninja or arkady you will be okay on the color

Yes the color is a light grey. It will look almost white when you see a clean brand new tackle twill vest. This is mainly due to the shine on the fabric. But it is definitely not white. If you were to see a stark white vest on a Boba you would immediately see it as wrong. The issue you are seeing is the suit has several shades of grey with the vest being the lightest color on the suit. In comparison it appears almost white. You will find a lot of Boba Fett colors are dependent on the other tones that they all play off of.

That's what I thought. As I say it's just the picture above on the CRL looks completely white! Or is this cause of the camera flash and lighting?

I may be hitting you up for a vest Loanstar in the near future

You can call it camera flash and lighting but it is just the way our eyes work when the colors blend. When you paint the helmet many of the colors don't look right until they are all together. The way the colors play off of each other it the biggest issue.

But getting a vest from Loanstar will ensure that you have what you need. He makes quality stuff.
