Aluminium frame with aluminium rod for spike , also experimented with wood dowl for spike but prefered ally. I fixed the spike by drilling and tapping in a grubb screw

Very nicely done; they look great! The thing about awesome costumes is all the little details (like your toe-spikes, for example) that tie together to make something seem more authentic. Boba is sooooo chock full of those things, I think it's one reason I've always loved his character!
Looks good my mate . Good ol super glue to fix spikes ? Or bonding sealer , which if you leave to harden in the nozzel and pull out carefully makes a rather good safety spike as stays rubbery !
Cool...thanks for the rubbery tip
Will probably screw fix them in. Knowing the kids will probably trip on them or break them off that's why I have been reluctant to put them on at this stage.
Just a quick update on fixing my spikes to the frames , i found a system for welding them on with a system similar to braising. Its called a Lumiweld kit, Cost £22 for 10 rods All you need is a blowlamp and its as easy as soldering !
Also good for fixing is Araldite steel , its in two tubes and is good for most metals and goes a metallic grey . It can be sanded and blends in with your metal when sanded , can also be painted
