Jaro Krieg
Active Hunter
Had a troop this day.
I use to clip my Helmet via Chinstrap to a leatherstrap on my belt and eventualy throw my Gloves into the bucket -> when I'm not in public. I like to have my Hands free when taking a break without searching for a tiny, 3 legged shakey desk or worse - Also the Belt-Bucket-connection makes the bucket a Belt-Basket when needed. - And so did i today.

Just clipped my Helmet to the belt, waited for the others to be ready and walked. We geared up in a Parkinghouse with the usual hard concrete floor
Then - the sewing on the right side of the Chinstrap ripped apart (after atleast 100 hours of Trooping), the strap slipped through the metal fastener - and the 1,5kg heavy bucket hits the ground.
The picture of the Fiber-helmet which outer shell torn apart after a fall from deskheight (which was posted here a couple of month ago) came into my mind.
I'm a tall guy - so my waistline is a way more higher than average deskheigth. - so we'r talking about 1,15m drop height.
But after picking up the helmet, awaiting a big damage -> Nothing!
No dents, no cracks, no dulls, no soft floppy fiber no dust -> only the paintjob got some unspectular fissure-cracks. (The Camera Flash revealed way more fissure's but still no serious damage - NOTE: all Paintcracks under the Visorline are way older)
[Also Note: That is still the original Paintjob from 2010 - i just fix the little paintjob defunts with silver-weathering... yes i know it may be too much so far]
Well, what can I say? About 2 years ago i got this "Premium" Helmet from Fettpride. It may was a bit too expensive for me at this time - and Some people may think - a FP-Premium is burnt money for a custom Mandalorian.
But I still wear my Fettpride for 2 Years -and i know enough "custom mandalorians" that frequently replace their Buckets after some Troops.
Accidents like today still remind me that i choosed the right bucket.
Thank you again Fettpride!
