Hanging a jetpack (budget method)

I was thinking of using suspenders over my shirt but under the vest and out through the backplate holes to hang my jet pack. I'm running low on time and I plan on making a super lightweight but not amazingly accurate jet pack. I'm hoping for 5 lbs.

I'm looking for an opinion on this method. The super nice harnesses look great but that will have to come later.

With the elastic of the suspenders, I foresee two problems:
1.) the elastic will cause the jet pack to droop low (5 lbs is still heavy for elastic suspenders)
2.) worst-case...the clips won't hold the weight of the jet pack.

You should consider using a old fashioned back-pack (the type the kids use for school) and modding it to work for the jet pack. You can buy 1" nylon strapping material at your local hardware store. Get some black thread and a needle and sew that bad boy together.

I'll try to post some pics up tonight of what I did.
