Hey everyone,

Some of you may remeber that about a month ago I made a Starkiller over a weekend for the TFU launch. After I got the game I decied that I would try to make a "501 quality" version. I've been documenting my work over on the flagship eclipse forums, but I am a bit giddy that I am about done with two main components of this costume: the shoulder armor and gauntlet. I think these came out very well, and I am really excited because this is the first time I made something like this without finding a template or plan online, i.e. I make them just by looking at the pictures I could find. Hopefully I'll be able to post pics of the full suit later this month so keep an eye out for that.

Most of the images I find on line or literally take mental notes from watching the cut scenes over and over again.

Right now I am working on the "traning outfit" which is the first one you wear in the game and probably has the best chance of being accepting in the 501. I do like the version you pointed out, and I am not saying I wont try it eventually....
 
I realy love that gauntlet, its deffintly the best I've seen! I can't wait to see more of it, it looks like its going to be a very awsome costume! :D
 
everything was built from scratch. Seek out suspect 86 for more info on the technique.

I only used engine black. No rust this time.
 
Unfortunatly, the project is dead in the water right now due to money/ other things in my life falling apart.

On that note, I realized I never posted the Halloween pics so here you go. Pretty much the only thing you see here that will be on my eventual 501 version is the gauntlet and the tunic/ pants (which I will probably hit with black dye again.

Thank you guys for the compliments, but this costume really is a double edge swoard for me.

Why I like it::thumbsup:
-it is the first one I ever made without plans or templates made by other costumers
-The gauntlet is beautiful
-This is one of the few I could walk around a crowd in
-I was on my way with research and progress to be one of the first starkillers

Why I hate it::thumbsdown:
-My custom order saber still hasn't come and I am playing email tag with the machinist
-It is not as accurate as it needs to be for 501, and all the money and time I;ve spent on it hasnt amounted to much. As I mentioned, pretty much everything needs to be replaced.
-It makes me look fat
-Someone already made a better one
-I liked having long hair.


Eventually I'll get motivated for this costume again, but right now it is not a priority at all:facepalm
