Bobby Fett UK
Well-Known Hunter
Hi Denters
I have just started to scratch build a jet pack and thought I would share. This is my second bite of the cherry, my first pack is almost complete, here it is....
Still needs some painting to finish.
Anyway....I have learned loads from my practice pack and now feel ready to iron out the areas which were not quite right with the first pack for one reason or another.
My objective here is to get as screen accurate as I can and then maybe cast and offer packs like the other budget Fett items that have been listed recently, but for this to happen I would need help ad advise as I have never cast something like this...anyway some photos.
Day 1 (6 hours) Most of the sintra parts are cut to size. I use a basic craft knife and take my time, trying to get the correct edge, straight of beveled as equired.
Reduced: 50% of original size [ 1024 x 768 ] - Click to view full image
Day 2 (8 hours - total hours 14) General assembly, including the main cylinder from rain water guttering.

The fuel tanks are a little low due to nothing to hold them in place yet.
Sorry for the poor quality photos, will do better in the future!
This is going together so well, every thing lines up as it should and fits together perfectly. I have used superglue to get the initial purchase, then a weld style seal inside with a hot glue gun, will try and get a shot of this and post it. I should also mention I am using WOF 16.5" templates and they are amazing, big thanks to Alan and Gav.
