Hi all,
I'm currently building an armor out of 3mm Sintra. At first I planned to reinforce the Sintra with fiberglass to make it less flexible, but now I consider this flexibility as good thing. A more flexible armor should be far more comfortable when trooping because it would follow the deformations of the body (esp. the ab and chest plates when breathing deeply).
I'm talking here of small deformations (say an ab plate edge that moves 3cms from its original shape).
The question is : Will the paint on the plates resist to such deformation or will it crack ?
I can't find any information on paint elasticity on my cans (european MOTIP brand), but since some car bumpers are painted, I guess the paint should resist.
Any experience on this subject ?
