Well, if you got leather pieces sitting around, I'd say cut and sew. If you have a coat, cut and sew. I haven't a clue how hard or easy this could be. I went with the jacket because the lines on it wre almost too good to be true for this costume.
Can I get back with you after I do it?
BTW, my leather rectangles cut for the skirt? They're all extra pieces of leather we had sitting around. Last time my husband and I were in the Louisville Tandy store, he bought a remnant bag for 3 specific pieces. The rest have been gathering dust. I found several good sized pieces that cut well. There was also a variety of color: magenta, super-light pink, brown, and an orangish colored piece too. These were all cut up with some from a half-side piece of cow (tan) so that all I have to do is get a good coating of the purple dye on them to get the variations needed. Should prove to be quite an interesting science project for me!
