I had to take a break from working on my jetpack and also my Kylo Ren project...

...so let´s do some more weathering on the boots. ;)

We got one of the first real warm days here in Germany, so I used the situation for some more weathering on boots, flightsuit, ankle ties and side pockets. For the boots I brushed on a mixture of brown acrylic paint and water. The softparts were dust-sprayed brown and black rattle-can paint. Now this can dry and some more time in the washing-machine will follow until I get the weathered, light blue/grey softparts, I want to achieve. ;) I know it looks now too heavy painted, but this will fade once or twice washed. :)

I took care of the jetpack harness, now that all the needed parts are here...

Tried to stay as close as possible to the original, but decided to install two click-snaps for putting the harness on easier.

Next will be sewing the belts for safety and install the two white straps.

Today I started to paint the first details.

The colours are:
- Humbrol No. 73 (Matt wine) for the detail on the right center tank and the piano keys
- Humbrol No. 154 (Insignia yellow) for the endcaps of the side tanks
- a black acrylic paint for the other detail on the right tank

The red and black areas I just painted one layer , but the tank caps will need some more layers.

I´ll keep on painting with No.154. ;)

Removed the masking and cleaned the edges. Now I´ll let the edges dry another 24 hours.

In the meantime, I´ll sew some more velcro on the ankle ties, so they sit a bit closer. And yes, all will be hand-stitched. I still didn´t find the time to learn how to work with the sewing machine. ;)

The fastest action ever: putting on the decal (sticker). Ready. ;) Next will be weathering. Hope to get my rocket and thrusters from Bobamaker within the next 2 weeks... :)

Yes, of course, but I won´t weather the silver areas as heavy as the rest. First I´ll do the heavy weathering, then take away the masking and will do the light weathering on the complete jetpack.

Ok, I am looking forward to see that! [emoji1303]

Here you go, buddy! ;) As you wish. The masking is removed... But still no weathering, maybe later this day.

Recieved my beacon light kit from JC27 today. Had to put it into my beacon right out of the box. ;) It works fantastic! Once the jetpack is ready, I´ll post a video to show the light effects. :) I love it!
