General Mid-Budget ESB built

Sunday update: worked on the fibreglas holster. Time for some strapping...

I used a heavy duty rubber band (is used for bikes), two N52 rare earth magnets (with holes for screws), a washer and a knob from an old jacket for the fron part. For the back two chicago screws and two washer.

I was so nervous drilling the holes and being afraid of breaking the fibreglas... I cut the rubber strap too long... ;) So I´ll fix that, after doing some padding with softfoam, to keep the sidearm scratching on the minor rough inside of the holster. :)

Continued the strapping system of the holster and made some padding with black and anthrazit craft rubber.

The rubber strap is shorter now. I thing it looks much better.

Now all I need is to find the accurate material for the belt loop (I used some old adjustable webbed belt) and fix the scratches I did when drilling the holes...

So... stay tuned... :)

Recieved my Bobamaker Deluxe ESB Rangefinder and aluminium Stalk. A quick 5 minute installement. ;) It´s perfect!

Next I will rework the right earcap. The magnets are not strong enough and it doesn´t fit perferctly...

Nearly finished the helmet: 4 new stronger N52 rare earth magnets built into the right ear piece and fixed the MQ-1 circuit board (it was too huge).

Next will be putting 2 fans into the helmet...

Cabling two radial fans with a 2 AA batteryholder which includes a switch. The fan on the left side I had to hide behind a soft net (antislip mat), because it is too close to my ear. The right fan blows cool air to my mouth area and the left one to the visor. Hope to troop some hours on december the 17th on our local cinema premiere of "The Force Awakens" without taking the helmet off. :)

So I think I´m done... Upgrades never end, but this beauty will do it´s duty for the moment. ;)

Happy new year everyone! :)

It´s been a while...
In between watched Episode VII two times and really love "The Force Awakens". Didn´t wear my unfinished Boba Fett costume to the midnight premiere...

Instead I choosed my Kylo Ren:

Now I´ll finish, what I´ve started... ;)
It´s time to finish my ESB Boba Fett for STAR WARS: Rogue One premiere in december 2016! :)

So, this thread is still alive! ;)

I was lucky to purchase a ruffkins-toys jetpack, built and ready to paint, which is in the making by Chuck at the moment. Will post pics, as soon as it arrives.
I´m so excited! :)

The jetpack is on it´s way to me... Can´t wait to hold it in my hands and start to paint it. :)

Also waiting for an ESB EE-3 blaster rifle with electronics, which will be done by the maker himself, SIDEWINDER. The finish is in sight... but upgrades never end. ;)

Excited to hear (and see, hopefully) some updates!

Did some rough sanding and put on a first layer of grey primer on the jetpack mainbody. I´ll let the primer dry for 24 hours, then I´ll fill the small gaps, holes and cracks.
