ESB Flamethrower Question

I have a question about the ESB Flamethrower, regarding the bit in the middle row. Is it supposed to be silver with a red stripe painted on or just solid red with some paint rubbed off? References are blurry. Any help is appreciated!

It would be all red with the middle rubbed off exposing the silver underneath. This is how I’ve always seen it and with the poor quality of all the reference photos we might never know but I would say that’s your safest option!

Boils down to personal preference at this point. I haven’t seen any real great shots of the screen used gauntlet.
