Real close now! Only have to detail the big scrape on the back plate now and some small stuff on the ears then clear coat and weathering.
I’ve had my fair share of screw ups during this paint up but over all for my second helmet paint job I’m really pleased with it so far. Fingers crossed things don’t turn south with the clear coat.
Finally got around to starting the big scrape on the back plate. Been putting it on hold for good reason this spot is hell to paint. I get a headache just looking at the stencil, there are sooo many tiny details. But it’s well on it’s way but still loads left.
You did an amazing job on the back panels , especially the right one. My eyes get crossed just looking at the pics!
There is so much detail there , I’m not disciplined enough to do it justice. Beautiful work there .

Thanks man! Yeah i definitely got headaches looking at the stencils. The only feasible way to do it is to just zoom in on the stencils and look at a small portion at a time, but still looking regularly at the bigger picture to make sure you are painting each damage in the correct proportion. Other wise you’ll run in to trouble later fitting the rest of the damage in and in it’s right place.

That’s one thing I didn’t have to worry about with Boba Makers VX helmet. The solution was already there. I am however gonna have to do it with my ‘95 Don Post that I’m modifying. Yours looks great though!
