I decided I ought to try to do something so I was doodling last night (at like midnight when I should've been asleep) and came up with this:

It would be an awesome build for the Krayt bucket I got from Saz (that I still haven't done anything with). I'm not saying I'm going to do it, but it would be cool nonetheless, no?

The snow rolled in this morning and cancelled school! I decided to use the day to do some work.

I began work on that helmet light-blocker:

I also got started on touching up my bucket, like covering up the ugly sides of the ears. I taped around the ears and put putty filler on 'em cause I don't want to deal with bondo and hardener. And started working on repainting areas that need it by spraying the spray paint into a container and using a detail brush I'm not terribly attached to to accomplish that.

And I thought about hiding the zippers on my boots. I figured out a way to do it on the bottom, but now I have to figure out something on the top. Any ideas?

I can't really see the top zipper... Maybe I'm just missing something. If I could see it I may have a few ideas lol

LoL, I didn't even think about it, Lev'ika. But I think I may have solved my own problem. I give you the Mandalorian leg warmer:

And I finished the spat-like mod for the boots. I pinned it together on the boot and went from there. Btw, both of them are made from scraps from my vest. Also, the "leg warmers" are made from leftover material from my kama.

I'm also thinking about throwing on some armor onto those spats:

I think it all adds detail and complexity to the kit, making it better overall. And it also keeps my pretty boots from gettin' all scratched up!

So, what do you all think? Yay or nay?

armor those spats up! It'd look good, and yes I think the spats are good, they definately help protect the boot and they look like they'd support some small foot plates quite nicely.

looks epic, are u gonna do a viewfinder? Also the drawings you did on this page look great, i like the cloth around the neck idea. Kind of adds a rugged snow type look to it.

Those boots are looking fairly awesome Can!

If you want to armour those spats, keep the "Metal" material thin and use velcro

That's the plan, Saz. I'm going to use scrap plastic for the armor. Just have to shape it a bit and stick it on.

I have pics of the finished ears -- golly they look so much better -- but I don't have time right now to put them up. Soon!

Thank you all! I'm hoping to design and build some custom rather large pistols ( I am slowly working on that). It is also warm outside so I think some time soon when I have a chunk of time where I don't need to do anything important I will go out and have a little photo shoot you all can see everything together finally.

Got that helmet skirt finished:

Can't see my face! Muwahahahahahahahaha!

Everything is velcro-ed inside. It isn't pretty, but it gets the job done.

Next up some time in the future:
-hopefully a photo shoot of the full kit
-boot armor
-completed knee armor
-maybe some weapons...
