The large templates should do fine.

I should point out that the sizes listed above are merely just guidelines since everyone is different, there is no such thing as a standard size human, some have long legs other may have a long waist. You may have to try various sizes before you find the one that best suits your body proportions. Unfortunately there are no black and white answers. Jango is even harder to fit, the size that works for the upper body in all likelihood will not work for the legs.

I have created a set of low res templates of the large size for those having trouble with the full size version above, these are about ½ the size. The trick with these is that when you print them you WILL have to use the “Fit to Page” printer option. Also these templates assume a ¼” boarder, so if your printer does boarderless printing you will need set the printer’s boarder option to .25”.

darkskywalker: These have been in the works for a while just finally got around to breaking them down into a printable version. Too many other projects.

The files are 8” X 10.5” at 200 DPI so they are huge, but they should print out on a standard sheet of paper. If not let me know what your system is doing and I try to make some adjustments.

Jades Dark Heart: Change the resolution from 72 pixels/inch to 200 and that will reduce the templates down to 8" X 10.5".

This is no different than recasting. It is stealing someone else's work. If the auction does not come down, there will be a banning.

You can print mine with any image program, as they are just GIF files.

darkskywalker's will require AutoCAD or a compatible CAD program.

I would like to thank the Dent and everyone for their support and encouragement and quick action on my behalf. It is clear darkskywalker’s templates are of his own creation and that there was no attempt to bootleg mine. He has taken action by replacing my layout drawing with his own to correctly reflect the product in his e-bay auction. At this point I am considering the issue closed.

Im sorry I started this whole issue, when it ended up being nothing. Im not sorry about looking out for my fellow members though, even if it is nothing. I would hope everyone would do the same for me. Thats whats great about a family like this.

There is nothing to apologies for that was an excellent catch, one never knows. There are a lot of scammers out there and I would hate to think that someone had to pay for something I am will to give for free. It has happened before, but luckily I managed to stop it before anyone got ripped off.

Please Note:

Well as is always the case I made a change to the templates. I was doing a mock up of the backplate and noticed that the shoulder straps were just barely long enough. So I went and lengthened the shoulder straps by 1" so that they will allow for trimming during the fitting process. All of the zip files have been updated.

But I was hoping there were Shin. Thigh and Knee Armour.......And Gauntlet Plans??! haha..

Jango Fett leg armor is in the works as well as knee armor.

I've been out of town for the past week, so I haven't gotten anything done. In the past I have been doing custom templates for the large size Fetts out there, but I will be putting together some XL & XXL templates. It does gets a little tricky trying to fit the pieces on to 8X11 paper.

So, what would really be helpful is if I can get a idea of what sizes are needed, that way I can focus my efforts on those first.

Great looking templates, but I have one problem. I tried opening one of the files in Paint, but I'm unable to change the resolution to get the templates to the correct size. Should I try opening them in a different program? And if so, what should I use? Any help is greatly appreciated.

For MS Paint try going to the "File" "Page Setup" in the lower right hand corner set the "Fit to:" 1 page to 1 page. Also right above the "Fit to:" block you will have to reset the margins to .25" on all sides. This should resize the image and allow you to print it on a single page.

If you are still having a problem let me know and I see if I can revise the template to work easier with MS Paint.

There isn't a "Fit to" option under Page Settings. I'm on Windows 2000, if that matters.

Yes, I see the problem apparently the older versions of paint do not have that option. What size do you need? I will work up a set that is MS Paint compatible for you.

I'm about 5' 8", so a set of medium armor properly scaled should work for me. I'd appreciate it rather a lot.

Trying to make a Paint compatible file just was not working out way too evolved. But I think I have a solution, I have converted a set of medium sized templates into a PDF file. The test run worked perfectly. So if you have Acrobat all you have to do is print them out and your off and running.[/

Thanks so much for your contributions, I'll be doing a Boba Fett costume in '06 ( have TK armor now ) and making the hard armor parts myself will save me alot of cash that I can put towards on a better quality items on other parts of the costume.

The armor templates are designed to print out on standard paper. Try using the fit to page option in the print comand of you graphics program. As for printing out to the 97% that will depend on the capabilities of your graphics program. Most programs will allow you to print a various scales.

The 5" scale should print out to equal 5" when the templates are printed full size.

I just wanted to say thanks for the templates. I've cut them out and they match my son's frame perfectly! I can't wait to get these painted up.

Your welcome, I glad that they worked out ok. Since we just adopted a three year old litle boy I'll be making a set for him someday so I'd post some pics.

A few other board membeers have reduced the templates down for their kids, but the set I sent you is the first set of child armor that I have done so I am looking forward to seeing how it looks.

Hello everyone, n00b here. Been looking at this site for awhile and decided to join.

These templates are simply amazing. Everything printed out like a dream, exactly to scale.

One thing that I have been meaning to point out is that the slots for the chest display should be cut to match the display that you are planning to use. The slots depicted in the templates won't match up, so please plan a head before you start cutting the slots.

I think the greatest part of making this costume for my son is that he is so excited about Star Wars, and he got that way without (much) prodding from me. He has a friend in town who is into the series, and it has just taken off... movies, video games, and now the costume.

I asked him what he wanted to be for Halloween this year. He was "Elvis" last year, dont know where he got that idea, but I assumed it would be something strange again this year. He said a stormtrooper. I thought cool, and started some internet research into costumes. I found some sites on costume building, and decided to go to Boba Fett instead, but build him a nice set instead of buy some premade thing. I did not tell him, figuring I could surprise him later. He tells a couple days ago that he changed his mind, and would really prefer to be Boba Fett. I have no idea how that happened, I didnt tell him what my plans were.

So I am building the trash can armor set for him, and going to try to scratchbuild a helmet. We will see how things go from there. I still have not told him I am doing it, I will be working on it after he goes to bed at night and when he is at school. I think he is going to be very surprised... and if it turns out nice, it will be like Christmas to me, watching his expression as he gets what he wanted all along. The simple things, right?

The hard part is getting things sized to him, without him realizing what I am doing.

Oh by the way, any template for clone armor, no matter how simple would help with our other project. We are not as accurate and detailed as the incredible costumers on these boards, as we are beginners, but we just need visuals . . .

Any updates on the Jango Armor templates? I found someone that is going to laser them for me out of aluminum.

Has anyone else here done that, if so, what gauge did you use? I looked at both 14 & 16 gauge and I personaly thought that the 14 was too thick but don't want it too thin either.
