Here is an update with the right side!

Delta75 informed me that his stincil worked perfect printed at 90% so I will ajust all the size ratios when its all said and done but for now print at 90% and it should work.

Here is a ref pic from the MOM to help with further weathering that was used for creation of the first stencil I posted.

Looking good Wes... I will update my right breast stencil as one of the silver spots seems to have fallen off.... no biggie. I will also post the abb and the collar tomarrow durring my lunch hour.

I have my MLC armor on its way so that I can do the same with it. I will also include a slencil for ensuring the windows are accurate for the lights and work with the TK409 and Shackman lights, as I own one and have access to the other.

MODS!!!! Once these are both complete I will reorganise the first post of the thread with all the PDF links and reference art. If you are willing to make them a sticky at that point please do!!! As that would be easyer then bumping it so people could know it was there and available.

I hope these stencils will make it easyer to get consistant and accurate results in your painting.

Pardon my ignorance on the subject of armor, but are these ESB, ROTJ, etc.? Or is the armor all the same???

These stencils are off the various starwars exhibits. Both the ESB and the ROTJ displays use armor with these scratches. I have confirmed that these are 100% ROTJ accurate and work for SE as well. I have fewer non preproduction reference for ESB but I belive that ESB is different.

One of my new clients makes stickers and banners. One of there art guys is big into models. I showed him the stencils and he thinks he can cut them out like a large sticker. I have sent him Evan's stencils. So I am hoping in a week or so I will have something to show. What do you guys think?

im starting my first mando armor project any suggestions

My suggestion is this. Read and learn what is quality armor etc before you buy something that is flimsy which you end up having to spend more cash to replace the junk you bought on the spur of the moment. So know exactly what your design will be long before you begin your custom Mando. This is speaking from experience, as I'd be almost done if I hadn't purchased the wrong items and had to spend the cash twice before getting quality armor etc. Personally I'd stay away from the lighter weight armor and go with fiberglass.

The best thing you can do is try and not create a Boba costume except with different colored armor. Use your imagination, adding things to your armor that are totally original-including writing a back-story for your Mando persona, that's kinda fun also...Good luck-you've found one of the best places to go for any information you'll need, so you're doing well already...

I second this question!!! Thanks for everything thus far. You have undoubtedly helped HUNDREDS of Fetts paint up their armor...if only we could get the shoulders and knees !

Whoops! Looks like Justin hasn't been on the TDH for nearly three months! Looks like someone else might need to take this project on. With Corrose tackling the ROTJ JP stencils, Justin's progress, and the ESB paint templates, we should have a full out paint guide in no time !

Count Dookie did an awesome work with the Helmet templates, maybe he can continue the thread or open a new one with the FP measures. I'm pretty sure that the FP armor is the most accurate right now, so they will be closer stencils than any others

BTW Justin did an amazing work on these

Spidey, what happened with Justin? Is he OK?

I know this thread is very, very old but I'm trying to use these stencils with FP v.3 armor... has anyone successfully determined the correct size % to print out to best fit FP v.3 armor? Thanks.
