Master replicas???

Last reply until I post picks. The helmets will not be made out of styrene. But a more durable plastic. and as I said, I am getting into the fiberglass soon.

Also, with the vacuforming, much time is spend after to sand em down and do the adjustments. I dont just suck and sell, I suckem, fix em, and then will sell them.

If anybody here is interested, I am selling a fett helmet in a few days for $50 as it is gonna be made of bondo and a kind of cardbard. Still pretty durable But the paint job alone is accurate and should be well worth it.

Again, I agree let the picks speak for themselves as some will be posted tomorrow.

P.S. I mentioned earlier, a major piece of equipment broke yesterday, I HAVE to get it fixed and am trying to do so now. Picks tomorrow guys : )

Also, not trying to rip anybody off, I have had offers to buy but am making people wait till the products are ready to ship before I let em pay. Gve me till tomorrow guys. It's comin : )

loveless, the reason many may come off as negative is really because of the attitude of your posts.

When I read your post, it came off to me as rude. You boasted the best quality helmets, as close to the real thing as you can get, for a very small price. It seemed you just brushed off every other artist here that sells buckets, saying they are way too expensive for quality that you can give for next to nothing.

I don't doubt that your helmets may look good. I do however, doubt that they will match the accuracy of the original as close as other helmets sold here. Part of this is me just being loyal to the makers (we all do that to some extent), but most of it is the fact you are pitting yourself against people who know EVERY nook and cranny of the Fett bucket. There are people here who have spent close to a decade researching the helmet, one of those guys actually helped make the MR bucket what it is.

There is also the fact of what medium your helmets are made of. Styrene is will never have the detail that other mediums will. Now, there is absolutely nothing wrong with styrene helmets for cheap, there's actually another thread where someone is selling styrene bucket for under $100. The problem arises when you claim that your styrene helmet is as close to the real deal as possible, while also disregarding the makers on this board who make superb helmets.

I tried to not come off as too rude, as I really don't want to see this thread get locked like so many others. I want to give you a chance to show your work.

And most importantly, do not mean to say that my fett helmets are better then anybody else. There certainly not. But there not worse.

I wont post on the threads here again until I have picks of the completed helmet. If your skeptic, then so be.

Honestly, it's very difficult not to be skeptical of a person who exhibits the literary prowess of a third grade student and boasts about their own talent while simultaneously berating others.

I hope for your own sake that you can prove your critics wrong but until you can provide proof of your claims, you should expect some skepticism.

What do you guys expect. This is not a thread of me selling the replica helmet, I merely said I can do it for cheaper then master replicas VERY well.
I am sorry for my past posts Fleshbeany, dont know how many times I have to say it. I was supposed to have the helmets out today, but early this month, ****** pulled my funding so I am on my own, to make things ten times worse, my main equipment just broke down on me the other day. So I have no idea when these are comin out or anything else other then whats on the website. But they are comin. I also just got brought on board a project to do a studio scale X wing and Tie fighter for a fan film ( wish I could post pics of that thing on here ). As well as making my own film for a dec. 24th release date. I am busy and broke at the moment.

I dont like showing raw work, it's unprofessional from a film makers stand point, not to insult any of the great talent on these forums.

And CGNgamer, I understand where you are coming from with your comments. I am sorry I had an attitude of, you cant play!!! That was very childish of me and wont happen again.
All I can say is that when things are up, I will give you 50% off of any item you want if you want any. That and, sorry, is the best I can do.

The fett's will be worth the wait. but stuff happens some times.

^^^ Oh, sorry ripcode. I removed them because I posted picks of a junior helmet. The replica helmet is in the re-design phase. I really wanna make it as accurate as possible. I will only post the final picks of the replica's.

In the Cargo hold is the inaccurate junior helmet which I am desperatly trying to slap together for my niece within the next 19 hours for halloween. It belongs in dented varients but the mods refuse to move it and seem to ignore all my pm's to them. Thats ok though, I am just happy to be on these boards.

I am also gonna use the studio replica and shrink down for child and teens.

But the final product will be in runs of maybe 10-20. And not in this thread. It will take a while though.

I'm waiting to see your "Joel Johnstons 1977-1978 design has room for massive improvement, so I also make costume helmets, close to fetts, but a lil better imho" helmets, not kids custom mando helmets... :rolleyes

Ahh, well, There are lots of little problems with joe's design, I am learning more and more about the fett everyday.

I noticed that everybody wants those lil mistakes, like a curved left brow, One side a lil longer then the other, ect. ect. So If I am to create a replica, those lil flaws have to be there, as thats what people want in the replicas. For me it is easier to make a clean helmet then to match his darn near if not, exactly.

So it will take a while. I am filled for the rest of the year with projects. But am slowly workin on the replica fett.

My more accurate version I guess would be considered varient.

I've got to agree with you here RIPCODE. This was all after he first posted to one of my threads that "in his humble opinion", he could even make the decals I offer cheaper and better with a printout.....

Lucksy, I apologized to you. I even sent you a pm with a formal apology. I thought you were selling sticker, not decals.

The point is, I pm'd you and said sorry, you accepted it, for you to turn around and post what you posted is very very low on your behalf.

EDIT: To be perfectly honest, I dont even really wanna sell on here anymore. I will, but this is just getting sad. If anybody wants to fix my equipment, then I can make the helmets soon, if not, I have to save up to fix my equipment to produce the helmets. Lay off me.
