rotj or se rotj

I was wondering what you guys think. What do you guys like more. My fav movie is rotj. I like the colors of the jet pack and gauntlets better then esb. I never really noticed the difference of the se boba. Do you like the original better or se? I'm hopping to start my suit early next year. Just trying to get an idea of which way to go. I'm thinking original rotj. Is the esb helmet everyone's fav? Just a thought.

i'd say just look at the show off your X suit threads that are going on right now... you'll see what folks like best.

as far as the se rotj is concerned, never liked it. and what's really an se rotf fett? the se shows both the esb helmet on a rotj costume in the added scenes and the correct rotj fett. to me lucas messed it up, and i wouldn't wear an se. you could even build a 3rd se rotj fett, cause lucas simply flipped the image on the correct rotj costume in one scene, where all of a sudden the rangefinder is on the wrong side, etc...

But since you ask which is better. I say ROTJ, only cause the ROTJ helmet is growing on me.

ESB costume myself. However, if you plan to wear ROTJ armour, wear the ROTJ helmet. Never cared for the SE.

there's a nasty rumor going around that rotj's kick puppies. that's just not true. my name is saint nasty, i have a full rotj costume, and i've never kicked a puppy.

I am a purist by nature, so the SE would not even be considered. I personally prefer the ROTJ look , but each version has its PRO's. I'd say the ESB helmet paint scheme would get the nod. That "Cat scratch" is awesome. But, the ROTJ Gauntlets, JetPack and Blaster are cooler.... Im my opinion of course.

Either way, it's your choice. Keep in mind, the vast majority of people you will meet will not have a clue that there's even a difference in versions. I've even had tons of people think my ROTJ Fett is a Jango, just b/c they don't know better....

Purest here also. If you like ROTJ do pure ROTJ. If you actually liked the blaspheming Special Edition movies then represent. :P

I know that the SE isn't the favorite of some folks on here or of Star Wars fans in general. I myself don't like what Lucas did to the movies as a whole (there are some addtitions that are ok).

BUT...I do like the look of the RotJ SE Fett because of many of the reasons already mentioned: RotJ suit, jet pack, gauntlets and let's not forget the armor. I like the RotJ armor more overall (I do like the ESB shoulders better though). And, of course, the ESB bucket is just way cooler IMO.

That being said, if I had it to do over again (and maybe someday I will), I'd go straight up ESB. I think the purity would win out for me in the end.

I think there is more of a ROTJ prejudice :P there are way more SE than there are ROTJ out there. :P

I have an SE, and I love it though I am now considering going ESB. Only because I think the green look of the muted ESB and the darker jumpsuit are better suited with my dark hair and hazel eyes. Plus the JB Project really opened my eyes to the differences. Love my ESB helmet so that would remain. My postion on this whole ROTJ vs. SE is that it's a given that Fett wore diffirent components based on particular mission profiles and such. Though the SE is LFL continuity flub up in the films, it's highly possibly that Fett would mix and match components.

Had both webleys, ROTJ version is way better.

Like there is a comparison,,ROTJ all the way,,but cant wait to get my Mystery painted up ESB "hint hint" superjedi that way I can change buckets when I want to ,,HA HA HA yeah Eric you'll be in VA in no time,,,

i am building an ESB but after doing more research and being exposed to info on ROTJ i kinda wish i choose ROTJ. i like the helmet, jet pack, girthbelt and ammo belt better.

my 2 cents

I've been batting back and forth between weather I want to do a pure ROTJ or SE myself. Pure ROTJ I think is hard because the blue cheekbone I think would be extremely difficult to get the right shade. Also, there is the difference of ammo belts and gauntlet tubing (SE has more ammo pouches than ROTJ's 8 and ROTJ has 3 tubes connected to just the right gauntlet as opposed to SE having only one tube in each gauntlet).

Good luck either way on your project man! ROTJ or SE you'll still have one of the coolest costumes around!

I apologize. I'm not use to regularly posting so I didn't notice the year logs. For what it's worth though, I decided I like the classic ROTJ Fet the most. The blue in the cheekbones makes the blue in the jetpack not completely isolated (this utilizes a sort of indirect color bounce effect that I find highly appealing). Plus I like the shape of the classic ROTJ helmet a little more as well! Again sorry to Dynamic1 and Skinkape Fett. I didn't relize how old this post was...

LOLOL...No worries guys..Its like an old pair of jeans that you keep stowed away in your closet that you cant part with..sometimes you just need to break em out and rock em!

I'm on the fence with mine. I like the way the armor looks with ROTJ but I really like the ESB helmet. Considering I probably have about a month or so before my helmet gets in, I guess I have some time to think about it.

You could always build up the rest of the suit ROTJ style and just choose which one feels best first (whether it's the ESB helmet or the original ROTJ). If you end up regretting your first choice, it's just a paint stripping and repainting away from getting that second chance!

My personal Favorite has always been ROTJ.
