MQ-1 vs MQ-2

01Hawk

Active Hunter
Wanted to see if they were similar in any way so I bought both. I guess the printed circuit board could work. The battery covers are different as well as the keypads which is pretty obvious. I didn't realize they were plastic and was thinking of trying to stamp metal ones which now seems pointless. Here is the comparison pic

I was thinking (from looking at images), that they were a lot more similar than they actually are. That's depressing, haha - especially considering how difficult it is to nab a MQ-1...

I thought that as well. I got the MQ-2 for $25 and think the circuit board would be ok in a helmet so I guess it isn't too bad if someone wanted to try and use as many real parts as possible. I got the MQ-1 for $61, which I thought was a fair price and can use the reset button for the SuperTrooper gun as well.

Your Welcome Dv8r ! Glad it helped. This build is much more challenging than the Biker Scout was but it makes searching for parts kind of fun, yet also frustrating.

I thought so as well... I figured it would have went for $100-$125. I tried to get the guy to put a buy it now on it and he wouldn't so I actually saved money lol

61 is a very fair price I think.

$61 is a great price. I nabbed one for $90 a long time ago and it was a deal.
