Hi guys was wondering if my ROTJ Girthbelt is ok for 501 approval?I actually count 16 strands and I have seen some people only have 12.I know the correct amount is 14 but just wanted to show this.I really like the look of this belt and don't want to replace it.

I don't see anything in the CRL that requires a certain number of strands. All I see is that it has to be a dark red, multi-strand rope belt, gap in the back of 6-8 inches, and 4 silver buckles in the back, connected with black straps. Level 2 certification requires it to be an actual horse girth. Yours looks pretty solid, although a bit pinkish... could be the lighting in the pictures though. I'm only a couple of months into all of this, so I'm sure others on here will be a little more helpful than I am.

I used the flash the belt is def darker.Seems like everything I do with this build is incorrect.I was just wondering how I have 2 extra strands.

I know that the Empire belt from reference pics is def 14 strands I still haven't seen a ROTJ belt where it can clearly be determined.I appreciate u guys with making me feel a little better.

That's my favorite pic lol if u zoom in the belt goes a little higher but I can't count the strands to hard to see. This pic I don't understand its an iconic shot but not a movie shot look at the stock where the gun is its not there.Hes holding it like a pistol.

It's def 14 can argue pure facts lol the stock is still in question it looks really hard to hold the carbine blaster in that position. Most of the girth belts are 12 and 14 how is the one I have 16 im still scratching my head.
