FP Armor - Version 3

Hey Scott, thanks buddy :) I gotta 'nother one standing by. It's on me. Just shoot me the addy you want it to go to again in a PM so I don't have to hunt for it.

FP

Ahhh! I'm still not added to the list on page 1! Noooo!! LOL :p

But in all seriousness, it sucks you haven't received your next shipment of plastic, but it might be a good thing. It's allowed you to take some time off from this project and actually get some rest! (y) No one wants to see you burn out trying to get everyone's armour done. :)

I really can't wait to get mine. Following the FP V3 progress threads all I can do is: :love . The stuff looks great!!

Thanks for the update FP.

Rest? what rest?

He's gonna get started on some Spartan helmets. He has like 20 of them to make.

:LOL

Shoot me a call when you have time FP "300 spartan helmet" talk.

I better get busy

A side note about your bucket ... since you are showing it off at a prop party, I didn't primer the outside of the bucket so everyone can see it in all of it's pretty white-ness ;) And it can be seen that the seam line really is microscopic

UPDATE:

Plastic shipment is safe ... it turns out that they were out of stock on the real thick plastic used for the backplate and kidneyplate. So the order was shipped on the 28th. Should be here any time now. Probably today actually  So we're gold ! (y)

YESSSSS!!
I got my armor today..:love:love(y)
This is some beautiful work of art. The amount of detail to this set is unbelieveable, and the curves and bends... Oooo..(y)
Thank you soooo much fettpride, i :loveLOVE:love your work.

I hope so... ;)
Been checking it everyday on USPS & Parcel-force and all I get is it left US 22nd Dec... But thanks for the heads up.(y)

Don't forget to post pics of your build up bro... :cheers

Heya !

Seeker - Good news my brother !!! (y) Let me know what you think tonight eh?

Good grief Gav, this is getting ridiculous. I'm so sorry this has taken so long for you. It's even more disturbing to know that KoRn300 just barely got his ... I had no idea his shipment was taking so long as well.

From now on, it might be a good idea to start considering International Express mail for our over seas members. It's really not that much more. And there is a guaranteed delivery. Then again, it then comes down to customs. If that's what this is about, unfortunately I cannot do anymore on my end. There is another member that has had his shipment sitting in customs, and he has to wait for an "Invitation" to come and claim the package :angry It's not right. Either we (USA) are the most open and vulnerable country in the world, or everyone else is just waaaaaaaaaaaaay to cautious ... maybe both. I know, that was a really stupid statement  We all know that we (USA) are just open to anything and everything, even with "Homeland Security" I just don't get it. My curiosity would be more in wanting to know if your customs in (insert country outside of the U.S. here) scrutinizes shipments from other non U.S. countries as much as they do those parcels from the U.S. ? I suppose what I'm trying to say is, are they "profiling" when it comes to the U.S. ? Seriously, real question. I've never asked anyone before. Ok, ok, end rant

KaanE, and Fettswatcop - I'll send you guys a PM in a bit :)

UPDATE :

Still no plastic shipment. But, it's most likely do to the fact that we're getting SLAMMED with the worst storm this area has seen in 30 years right now. All of our mountain passes are closed (the only ways in or out of Klamath Falls, Oregon) and the airport just shut down and cancelled all flights. The shipment is being delivered via freight becasue it's HUGE  If they can't make it in because of the snow, it can't be helped. Sorry guys, I have no control :(

But to lighten it up a bit, you will ALL (I don't care who you are, it's funny) probably get chuckle to hear that yesterday afternoon, I decided not to pull my truck into my garage so that all of the snow would fall off of the under carriage before I pulled it in (so it the melting snow wouldn't flood my garage) and when I came out to finally pull it in, it was sitting out in the middle of the street !!!!!  Yes, the ice pack underneath was soooo slick, that the truck slid down the driveway, and out into the street while it was unattended  No damage, nobody hurt, not even a knock on the door. It was just sitting out there, blocking the road, all by it's lonesome  So, go ahead, chuckle on my friends

More to come. There are still a couple of hours left in the day here, so anything is possible.

:cheers

Beautiful stuff man. Bautiful.........

Fantastic armor, crisp helmet, great packing job, etc......

I could finally finish off this ESB Fett punk that I've been trying to do so for so many years.

I can't believe how much different the new backplate is. Nice.

I should have it trimmed and displayed tommorow. I'll post pics after our builders meeting tommorow.

Hey FP - You will enjoy coming to our First Saturday of The Month Prop Builders meeting. I'll tell you more about them once you more around these part of the woods.

Ohh and thanks for the shipment. Dude! I owe you. Thank you.

Yeah FP i know what you mean about the storm, i'm in the San Francisco area, and we had the bridges closed down cause the wind was actually flipping over semi's and i heard one vehicle was blown off the bay bridge entirely. Fun stuff!!

Yeah it's been a blast so far :rolleyes

I've been seeing that sort of stuff on the news practically daily. They had 2 semi trucks blow over up north of here heading toward Portland that kept the 5 freeway closed for 12 hours

Luckily, the sun is finally poking through a bit. Which leads me to the update ..

UPDATE:

The plastic shipment is on it's way as we speak. Got a call from the freight driver who will be delivering it within the hour (y)

Good thing too. As there are more storms on the way, one that's supposed to hit this evening for more multiple inches of snow  So just in the nick of time ! So, we're on our way guys, I can probably have enough of the remaining armor sets out by weeks end to make most of you happy campers ;) Thanks for being patient !

Based on what surplus is left over, I'll be able to gauge how many more sets can be made for a second run if there is interest. So stay tuned for that too!

Seeker : So where's those pics buddy boy !

:cheers

Sheesh! Glad nobody was hurt and your truck wasn't damaged.
We had something like that happen to one of our F-16s while I was stationed in Germany. The pilot had landed after a mission, taxied back to his parking location, and did a "U-turn" in front of the HAS (hardened acft shelter) so the tow crew could hook up and back the jet into the shelter.
Well, about 5 minutes after he shut the engine down, a gust of wind caught the jet and it started sliding across the ramp!! It stopped when the wingtip (with a training missile loaded) slammed into the big steel HAS door!
That was 1 of 3 ice-related incidents within 24 hours over there. After the third one, our wing commander shut down flightline operations for a day.
