Blaster Display stand ideas for Fett's EE-3?

So I went ahead and created a design and sent it to Flux Dimensions to have it created in acrylic. The stand arrived today and I am SO pleased with it! I will start building a wooden base for it now that will house orange, amber, and red LEDs. I am considering adding sound to it as well. Most likely the carbon chamber sound effects. We'll see how that goes.

I'm pretty stoked about it. If you're looking for a stand for your EE-3 or other props, I can't recommend Flux Dimensions enough. You can find him on Facebook. He was beyond patient with all of my requests.

Here's a couple of hastily taken photos:

For those who never saw my finished EE-3 with the electronics installed, here is the link to the final product as well as the link to the progress thread.

I will post photos once I have added the base and LEDs. Stay tuned...

super nice! Does the blaster sway or tip in it? I ask because the rests don't see to lock it vertical... or is the weight keeping it centered?

It doesn't sway at all. The curvature of the stands is cut to match the contour of the blaster. The weight is also keeping it centered. I was surprised actually.

Just a little test video of the sound files I've been working on for this display stand. I had an old Plecter Labs Crystal Focus v3 lightsaber board laying around so I decided to put it to use. I am building a wooden base to go around the perimeter of the acrylic so that I will have an area to add LEDs and audio. This video represents a work in progress. I'm trying to figure out what works and what I like best. Once I have that figured out, I can dial in the board and the levels of everything as well as add an LED array, accent LEDs, and switches.

The video doesn't pick up some of the sounds, but trust me, there is a great low level hum and buzz effect that is present. The base sound font is simply the ambient audio (minus dialogue and lightsaber sounds) from the carbonite freezing chamber scene as well as the Bespin duel sequence. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I like it! Looking forward to seeing it when it's all lit up.

Personally, I like just the ambient carbon freeze chamber, along with some of the token sounds of the "claw" retracting, etc. It gives that ominous feeling that you're there. I think the door noises are too frequent (or is that you just changing sound files?)

If you were to keep the lines, I'd mix them in with the ambient and just have that going for a longer period of time so you don't have to keep changing it. What about this:

Ambient...
Vader: This facility is crude....
Fett:What if he doesn't survive, he's worth a lot to me
Vader: The empire will compensate you if he dies, put him in (not present, but cool)
Sound effects of claw
Vader: He's all yours bounty hunter
Exit with music or just back to ambient.
