    Feb 15, 2015, 8:11 PM - Showoff: bcurtis's ESB EE-3 w/ Blaster Core v4.0 FINALLY FINISHED!!! #1

Hey everyone! Just wanted to post up a video of my now finished ESB EE-3. Here is the link to the build thread: http://www.thedentedhelmet.com/f20/m...hlight=bcurtis

SO glad that this is finally finished (minus a quick weathering touch-up on the Heiland and the scope). This thing is seriously heavy, lol. In my humble and completely unbiased opinion, I think it looks great! A world of thanks to RedArc for installing the functioning trigger for me, not to mention all of the help he gave in terms of photos and advice. I would not have been able to build this without your help, my friend. Also a big thanks to the makers of all the parts that went into this project.

    Here are the specs:
Webley base: Hand Schaub bronze casting and wood stock
Resin parts: combination of Sidewinder and Stormrider
LED driver and soundboard: Plecter Labs Blaster Core v4.0
    Replacement trigger: Apex Gun Parts
    Heiland flash tube
Sling: 99centTaco (need to replace for more accurate one)
Luxeon Star Tri-Rebel LED (red, blue, green) Using the red and blue
    x2 18650 Li-Ion rechargeable battery pack for 7.4V @ 2800mAh
x2 28mm premium speakers from The Custom Saber Shop
Custom bar graph from Calvary Custom Sabers (3-cyan, 2-amber, 1-red, 1-green)
    2.1mm kill switch/recharge port
Internal chassis parts: The Custom Saber Shop
Soundfonts: 4 from RedArc, 1 from Plecter Labs, 1 from myself

That's all I can think of right now. I'm sure I'll tweak things here and there but I'm calling this done. The video is posted below. I'll take some stills tomorrow to highlight parts that weren't visible in the video due to poor lighting. Thanks TDH family! I'd love to get your opinions/critiques on this. Take it easy!

    Bryan

    Set my comment to stunning

Very nice blaster Bryan! I do hope you get to troop with it, as I'm sure it would definitely make an impression on the little kids (and big kids ) If you do go for a resin "troop-able" gun, will you add effects to that as well?

I would love to add electronics to my SW EE-3. You are making it very hard not to. Maybe I'll find a way to tear open my heavily glued piece and install effects.

Again, huge kudos for a job well, done.

Thanks a lot, guys! I will certainly try trooping with it. If it turns out to be too heavy for long troops (which it most likely will), I'll get a resin one which I will definitely put electronics in. As far as cracking open your glued-up gun...DO IT...you KNOW you want to! You know what Fett says, "It's no good to me silent".....or something like that.

Thanks, man! I'm loving it. I appreciate your help in making this happen. Now I just need to get back to working on my MWNN sound font.

Wow, spectacular job sir. I'm wondering, is this possible on a hyperfirm? Don't own one yet but figured they may be solid?

Thanks, bud. This isn't possible on hyperfirms because they're solid (to my knowledge). However, you can install it in either a Stormrider or Sidewinder resin kit (depending on which side of the Atlantic you live on).

Too late. Lol. It's actually not bad at all. My arms are certainly sore afterward but not as much as I originally feared. I'm waiting for the Spring to put paint on my rubber EE-3.
