I got all of my stuff yesterday...Christmas in July..... (really)
WOW
Fantastic
Off the Hook
Awsome
The Bomb
insane
Not enough adjectives to describe what I'm looking at.
Armor: fantastic work on the paint job. especially the knees. Since my paint skills and time are limited this was money very well spent. Jeff also put a tint filter on the chest armor for the my TK409 chest display...attention to detail..very nice
Gauntlets: painted and put together nicely. The alum makes all of the difference in the world and complements Wickedbeards artistry. I'm just in awwww
Alum Missile--Russ Repp
Alum Darts--Russ Rep
Alum Flamethrower--Evolutions (eBay)
Jet Pack: What a combination. MOW's VII jetpack is tight. Lines are crisp and the back cover just adds a complete look. MOW is WOW...The paint job is just awesome. I swear this thing is looks real.
Alum Beacon and Stabilizer--Serenity
Alum Thruster end caps--Evo
Alum Greeblies--Evo
SOFT PARTS Weathering:
Jumpsuit: You would swear I was working under the Slave I changing the hyper fuel filter. LSFU suit is so grungy. Another perfect combo (LSFU & WickedBeard)
Vest, Neck seal, pouches: Another LSFU masterpiece. All weathered nicely. WB took some of the sheen out and looks nice and dirty.
Gloves: Made by Galactic Bouty Hunter and very accurate. Now they look like I was holding an oil filter. Not too much, not to little just the right touch of weathering
Ammo Belt: A nice 99Taco belt (glad I got one before he retired) and some nice weathering add to the distressed look.
Boots: Evolution has filled the gap the CAboots left open. These boots are extremely light and the weathering just makes them look oh so sweet. Russ Rep on the alum boot darts. The test of time for the boots is a few troops...If they last then Evo is the man and highly recommendable.
I choose Wicked Beard for his painting skills. I have seen other artist on TDH and they all paint very well. Wicked has a special talent were he makes armor that looks like its been in battle. I know everyone has their own version/opinion of what the perfect Fett looks like. In my Fett world I was looking for screen accuracy (not too obsessive with it), but more important I wanted my Fett to look like I was in battle. Nothing gives more authenticity in a costume then the correct weathering....not too much...not too little. Wicked Beard strikes the balance between the two.
Reasons To Commission Wicked Beard
--very talented artist
--very reasonable prices
--informative communication
--alternative to fiberglass/resin armor
--he is very cool dude
:cheers
