What happend to Commander Cody ?

After the clone turn their back from the Jedi, I was kinna wondering what happend to Commander Cody.

It looks like the story just end there .....

He probably retired and settled somewhere on Coruscant getting drunk with the retired older clones

Nah?? wait.. We are gonna have to look into the stories of the expanded universe or Dark Horse Comics for these answers?

Hmmm, this is a perplexing question.

I always kinda assumed he was killed during the eradication of the jedi.

I check out the link and found this line

After the creation of the Galactic Empire, Cody was absorbed into the ranks of the Stormtrooper Corps.

So, no clear story as about the fate of his remaining live.
Anyone else got ideas, or shall we sent Lucas and email.
