Well I got enough money to make the mold I soon as I sell some of my bust I'll buy some silicone.
Heres what I did so far: I found out that if you mix bondo with polyester resin(add both hardeners)

it makes a great gelcoat when it comes to making a mold for silicone mask, so I did that poured it on.
Once it cured I mixed an epoxy resin thats about 12 hours to cure, added some fiber-glass mat(about 1:1 ratio of fiber-glass and resin) applied it,

once I did that a few times I started on the other side and should do the second coat tomorrow.

There is no silicone under, it's just my sculpt, bondo/polyester, and fiber-glass. As soon as it's cures I will take the negative apart, lay down some clay about 1/2cm. thick, then do the bondo/polyester/fiber-glass steps to make the core.
After that I will drill some holes(so I can get the silicone in and the air out), inject the silicone, let cure, take the core out, put a modded mannequin head in it, and finaly inject a silicone foam into it.

Just (finaly) opened the mold, they'll be made out of latex. Anyone intrested? Please let me know.

Is this the same method you have usually used for any other mask projects? Making the reverse mold for the core is an interesting concept i hadn't thought about. Would using the origional life cast bust be too close of tolerances to work around as a core?

Actually I've never done this before but I read that it works good and makes the mask cheaper cost wise and lighter in weight. But since I do not have enough money to experiment I will just be slush casting them in latex.
