Well, I'm not really that familiar with how the Hasbro looks "stock."  When I did all the tubing that goes over the surface and into the

little maintenance pits I used some floral wire and some styrene rod in different diameters.  The styrene rod was better for the straight

pieces and the floral wire was good for doing the parts with bends because it held its shape a lot better.

There's also styrene rod that has a wire core, but it was a bit more expensive and I was trying not to spend a whole lot on the project.


When I did the backdrops for the cockpit and the upper gun turret I just designed them myself in my Paintshop Pro program and printed

them on regular printer paper.  Then I stuck them onto the styrene walls using double sided tape.  I glued a couple of small greeblies

here and there to make it look like it has a little bit of dimension to it.  No lights or anything on mine.
