I am, as many of you, making the Rifle from scratch. I am making the butt stock from wood, and 3D printing a good amount of the rest of it, while including some aluminum for the barrel. I found basically all the reference photos I can find, thanks for those who uploaded the high quality D23 photos! I got my scale pretty much down, at least for the length. Now where I am at is trying to determine the thickness. I am starting with the stock and gonna model my pieces off of this section by section. So I am currently modeling the receiver, but need the width of the stock, at least for that joining part since I know it does taper a bit from front to back. For those who have already done so, what is a good approach for scaling the thickness of the stock? Or maybe a lead to real historic rifles which may have been used to make this weapon.

Thanks!
