It has one layer with the helmets, one with just plain color and one with the battledamage. If decide to change color on, say the mandibles i can quickly do that and see the result straight away. The color layer is set to multiply. The scratches is on the layer on top of the colors. I did them just to get a overall feel. The palette in the picture shows the colors i've chosen.
