So, this is a known issue among the vBulletin community that vBulletin has said it is NOT correcting.... Fortunately for us, we will be moving to another platform before the end of February and won't have to deal with this and so many other shortcomings of this aging software. Until then, the solution is simply to hit Return and you will be able to type with spaces.... so when you reply, hit Return first... I know it is a pain, but it is the only work-around until we move.
