Phase III prototype armor "idea"

Greetings and hello there.

I am new to the forums although i have been reading allot here, but I wanted to post for a little while now.

I have always been interested in trooping, but budget was always a problem for me, as my first goal was a clone trooper armor, but was a very custom job to make it like the movies, so i went searching for something else unique.

after watching the intro of the force unleashed game, i noticed that the stormtroopers there at the kashyyyk shore where not like the ordinary ones, and since this was still shortly after the clone wars, this was no coincidence.

I myself have no time or budget to get a good quality armor, but I certainly will get one when i can, but I still tried to reconstruct the short viewed "videogame like (not perfect)" helmet of the stormtrooper, and used a picture of a clone trooper helmet, and a stormtrooper helmet, on slightly different angles, in paint to get a clearer picture of what i would like if it would really sit in between the ep III movie, and the ep IV movie.

(maybe a bit pixely because I used microsoft paint)

Although I don't have allot of use of it for now, I was hoping someone of the forums could use this for maybe some inspiration or use it as a unique idea as i have never seen someone trying to recreate this.

Perhaps this might provide inspiration in your quest.

very interesting picture, these seem to be more based on the ep III 501st, it looks like the step before the ones you see in the pc/360/ps3 vers. of force unleashed.

this picture reminds me of the these, it also has the visor up at the trim.

and here are just some screenshots pictures out of the force unleashed game.

I have just seen the psp prologue, and saw the officer trooper with the shoulder pauldron, so I did a edit (in mspaint) how it might look like if they added a officer to the high end vers. of the game.

(although this is just a bit of clone commander gear added to the main storm armor)

I'm starting a conversion in early 2012 for one of these helmets, I noticed from another thread that Evo had started a conversion of a Phase 2 Clone helmet, which looked promising but seems to have stalled. Not sure starting from that point is quite right though. Looks more like a backwards conversion from a TK Lid would be a better starting point (seeing as most of the details stem from that design, including the sweep angle of the cheeks etc). The only Phase 2 element seems to be the Breath filter/vocoder area. Will need to do some fairly large adjustment to the width of the helmet though, as the Phase 3 seems to be thinner than a TK (edging towards the Phase 2 width). A true hybrid!!
