I am new here too. I registered a couple of weeks ago. However, I have been visiting here for a long time. Wizard of Flight has posted templates in the Boba Fett Armor and Boba Fett Helmet forums. I used his helmet templates for a scratch build I just finished. If you enter the Boba Fett Armor Forum, one of the first threads is titled "All Boba Fett Templates". Don't remember who started the thread. I will have to go back and look. However, he has links to a couple of other people's threads with their templates. As I am new here I haven't figured out how to link to other threads. If you go to the Boba Fett Helmet forum you will easily find WoF's thread for his helmet templates.
Regarding your question about which set to use, I am not too sure. It has been a while since I read any of the Republic Commando books. Unfortunately I left them on the other side of the Salty Pond. From what I gather in some of the other threads, if his armor is referred to as classic, then it is based on Jango's. Hope this helps and I look forward to watching your progress.
