Hey all!
I just want to share an amazing... well TWO amazing pieces I had commissioned to WoodChuck over at mandalorian mercs forum.
So my short-story begins
I am, like many others, playing the game Star Wars: The Old Republic and since day one on the early access I have played (mainly) on my Mercenary, Reemy. Time went by and he got better gear and most importantly better looking gear!
And as all Mercenaries in the game he wields 2 blasters but since all guns have different names even if they look the same I shall only refer to these as "The Glowing Gun", since that is the name of one of them.
Anywho, here is a screenshot of that gun in-game:
I was browsing around a lot of different forums, the RPF, TDH and Mandalorian Mercs to name a few. When I found ONE tiny thread of someone asking anyone to build this exact gun for him/her. The thread had not many responses and was hid away in the masses but WoodChuck had replied and said "give me something more to go on than just on angle and I can probably make that work". I thought "hey, that seems like the right person" and contacted him. After just a few emails back and forth I sent him a bunch of screen-shots of my char and his guns in all angles I could think of.
In just one month from first contact I now have them here, at home with me! And they look amazing.
They are not yet painted as I wanted to take a shot at that myself, but here they are, with some progress pics as well.
All made in wood. So they are sturdy and just heavy enough to have a nice feel to them.
Here is a picture I took today after picking them up at the post office;
They took my breath away. And it was all done so fast!
What worried me the most is how postal workers handle packages here in Sweden. Well I do know how many of them carelessly toss "Fragile" labeled boxes around so my conserns are valid. But not a scratch since they were so well wrapped in bubble-wrap and boxed up. I was so relieved! And super excited!! Now all I have to do is get started on painting these bad boys
And here is a last pic from the game, just to show off my bad-*** character holding one glowing gun!
