I'm really excited to add this piece to my collection. Apart from Boba stuff, I'm a big fan of the new Battlestar Galactica, and especially the Viper and Raptor pilot outfits. I know that Got Maul and DGasser have some KILLER pilot suits, and I've begun collecting the components to make one of my own.
The helmets from the show are really cool looking, and a new member over on RPF was displaying his sculpt and I contacted him about getting one. The helmet arrived today, and I have to say I'm just thrilled with this piece. I swear, it looks like someone swiped it right off the set of the show! The craftsmanship that went into this piece is just amazing.

It's fiberglass, painted with automotive lacquers and several clear coats. The finish is deep and 99.999% perfect. The hoses and fittings are real metal parts, superbly installed. Everything fits like a glove.

We agreed that this would be a "ready to wear/display" helmet. Yes, it's wearable! Fully padded and lined, made to the buyer's hat size!!
Not only that, but it features the telescoping jaw piece, just like the real props from the show.

Not quite cool enough?? Well, how bout some lights?!?! Yup, 2 LED "spotlights" on the cheeks, and a blue light strip on the interior, just above the face bubble!

This is simply one of the coolest pieces I've ever seen, let alone owned! I'm so psyched to have it, can you tell??
