So, hello all. I'm very new to the star wars costume universe. With the new show out and all, I decided to do an OC Mando. My main question is, what do you secure your armor plates to, and how do you secure them. If this is already in a post somewhere, my bad.

Welcome Velgrim! This section is for costuming from the new Mandalorian Disney+ series. There is a forum called the mandalorianmercs that will be your gold mine for everything custom mando. That being said... there are many ways to attach your armor. Velcro, rare earth magnets, pushpins with locking backs (this is what I use for my Fett), and snaps. You can find all these methods using the search feature but any of them have been used. It's up to you really! You can secure them to whatever you want as well. Most have some kind of flak vest the armor is attached to and they wear that vest overtop of a flightsuit. Hope that helps and good luck!
